Description

Simple, festive, and adaptable bite-sized treats perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 wheel brie (about 8 oz), rind removed and cut into small cubes
  • 3/4 cup cranberry sauce or chutney
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (toasted)
  • 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
  • Optional: fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Roll puff pastry thin and cut into 24 squares (about 2.5-inch).
  3. Press pastry squares into a mini muffin tin to form cups.
  4. Place a small cube of brie into each cup, top with 1 tsp cranberry sauce, and sprinkle with chopped toasted nuts.
  5. Brush exposed pastry edges with egg wash.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes until pastry is golden and brie is bubbly.
  7. Cool for 2–3 minutes, then remove to a cooling rack. Garnish with thyme and serve warm.

Notes

Use thick cranberry chutney for less moisture; too wet a topping can make bottoms soggy. Toasting the nuts enhances the flavor and crunch.
