Description
Simple, festive, and adaptable bite-sized treats perfect for holiday gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 wheel brie (about 8 oz), rind removed and cut into small cubes
- 3/4 cup cranberry sauce or chutney
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (toasted)
- 1 egg + 1 tbsp water (for egg wash)
- Optional: fresh thyme or rosemary for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Roll puff pastry thin and cut into 24 squares (about 2.5-inch).
- Press pastry squares into a mini muffin tin to form cups.
- Place a small cube of brie into each cup, top with 1 tsp cranberry sauce, and sprinkle with chopped toasted nuts.
- Brush exposed pastry edges with egg wash.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes until pastry is golden and brie is bubbly.
- Cool for 2–3 minutes, then remove to a cooling rack. Garnish with thyme and serve warm.
Notes
Use thick cranberry chutney for less moisture; too wet a topping can make bottoms soggy. Toasting the nuts enhances the flavor and crunch.
