Description

A delightful Blueberry Danish filled with creamy cheese and fresh blueberries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares.
  3. Mix softened cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and lemon juice until smooth.
  4. Place a dollop of the cream cheese mixture on each pastry square.
  5. Toss blueberries with cornstarch and place a few berries on top of the cream cheese.
  6. Fold the corners of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket.
  7. Beat the egg and brush it over the pastry.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
