Description
A beautiful and inviting dish that combines salami and cream cheese into delightful roses, perfect for gatherings and celebrations.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 pieces salami (thinly sliced)
- 4 ounces soft cream cheese (room temperature)
- 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt (or a splash of heavy cream)
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh chives
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 12 pieces small crackers or crostini
- 1/4 cup mixed olives (pitted and halved)

- Fresh herbs for garnish (thyme or microgreens, to taste)
- Honey or fig jam (optional drizzle for contrast)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the soft cream cheese, Greek yogurt, chopped chives, and lemon zest. Stir until well mixed and the texture is smooth and glossy.
- Take each slice of salami and gently roll it like a loose flower petal, keeping the edges slightly ruffled to create a rose shape.
- Place the rolled salami rose into the center of a cracker or crostini and press it down lightly to secure it.
- Spread the olives and cornichons around the assembled roses on a serving platter.
- Garnish with fresh herbs to add freshness and visual appeal.
- If desired, drizzle honey or fig jam lightly over the top for a sweet balance against the savory flavors.
Notes
Store any leftovers in an airtight container, layered with parchment to prevent sticking, and keep chilled for best freshness.
