Description

Delicious Chocolate Mint Cookies combining rich chocolate and refreshing mint, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons peppermint extract
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped mint candies (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the peppermint extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just blended.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped mint candies (if using).
  6. Drop rounded tablespoons of the dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
