- 1 cup (226g) Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup (220g) Brown Sugar
- ½ cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
- 2 large Eggs
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 cups (250g) All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- ½ tsp Salt
- 2 cups (340g) Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 × 13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, and stir in the vanilla extract until well combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips, reserving a handful for topping.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
For a festive finish, dust with powdered sugar or cut into holiday shapes.
