- 1 ½ cups graham crackers, crushed
- ½ cup butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- Red or green food coloring (optional)
- 1 cup whipped cream (for topping)
- ½ cup crushed candy canes
- Chocolate sauce (for drizzling, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine crushed graham crackers, melted butter, and sugar until well mixed.
- Press the mixture firmly into a 9-inch pie pan and bake for 8-10 minutes until lightly browned. Let cool.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth, then add peppermint extract and mix well.
- Whip heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form, then gently fold into the cream cheese mixture.
- Spoon the filling into the cooled crust and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
- Before serving, whip additional heavy cream until soft peaks form, then spread over the pie.
- Sprinkle with crushed candy canes and drizzle with chocolate sauce if desired.
Notes
For best results, chill the mixing bowl before whipping the cream. Prepare the pie a day in advance to enhance the flavors.
