Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the egg, vanilla extract, orange zest, and orange juice; mix until just combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  6. Fold in the dried cranberries and any optional ingredients like white chocolate chips or nuts.
  7. Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes
