Description

A comforting chocolate cake filled with whipped cream and topped with chocolate icing, perfect for family gatherings or quiet evenings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Chocolate icing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until it starts to thicken, gradually adding powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  5. Once the cake is cooled, cut it in half horizontally. Spread the cream filling on the bottom half and place the top half back on.
  6. Drizzle chocolate icing over the top of the cake and serve.

Notes

Serve with a dust of cocoa or fresh berries for added flair. This cake can be stored in the fridge for 2-3 days or frozen for later enjoyment.
