Description

A delightful combination of warm pastry, ham, and melted cheddar cheese, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry
  • 4 ounces of sliced ham
  • 4 ounces of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface.
  3. Spread Dijon mustard on the pastry if using.
  4. Layer the sliced ham evenly over the pastry.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top of the ham.
  6. Roll the pastry up tightly into a log.
  7. Slice the log into pinwheels about 1 inch thick.
  8. Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Beat the egg and brush it over the top of each pinwheel.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover pinwheels in an airtight container for up to three days. Reheat in a preheated oven for the best texture.
