Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Allow it to cool slightly, then stir in the brown sugar and molasses.
- Let the mixture cool further and whisk in the eggs one at a time.
- Add a splash of vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting them out. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.
