A delightful blend of rich chocolate brownies and warm gingerbread spices, perfect for the holiday season.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1/4 cup Molasses
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger (fresh or ground)
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Allow it to cool slightly, then stir in the brown sugar and molasses.
  3. Let the mixture cool further and whisk in the eggs one at a time.
  4. Add a splash of vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking for doneness with a toothpick.
  9. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before lifting them out. Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

For additional flavor, consider adding nuts or a white chocolate drizzle.
