Ingredients

1 apple, cored and chopped, peel on

100g spinach (about 3 packed cups or 3.5 oz)

4 celery stalks, chopped

1 inch fresh ginger, peeled

1/2 lemon, juiced (about 1/2 tsp)

10 stalks fresh cilantro/coriander

1 to 1.5 cups cold water (240-360ml)

Ice cubes, optional


Instructions

1. Add cold water to the blender first to create liquid base.

2. Add spinach and cilantro. Blend for 15-20 seconds until greens start breaking down.

3. Add chopped apple, celery, ginger, and lemon juice. Blend for 45-60 seconds until completely smooth.

4. Add ice cubes if desired and blend again for 10 seconds for colder, thicker texture.

5. Taste and adjust: add more apple if too bitter, more water if too thick, less lemon if too sour.

6. Serve immediately for best flavor and maximum nutrients.

Notes

For smoother texture, load blender with liquids first, then greens, then produce, then ice.

If too spicy, reduce ginger to 1/2 inch. If too sour, reduce lemon slightly.

Store in sealed jar in refrigerator up to 24 hours. Shake well before drinking.

For meal prep: freeze chopped apple + celery + ginger in bags. Add fresh greens and water when ready to blend.
