Christmas Trees Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry

Description

Delightful bite-sized puff pastry trees filled with ham and cheese, perfect for holiday gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 package of puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
  • 1 cup of cooked ham, diced
  • 1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Flour for dusting
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut the pastry into tree shapes using a cookie cutter or knife.
  3. Place diced ham and cheese on one half of each tree shape and fold over the other half to seal.
  4. Place the shaped pastries on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Beat the egg and brush the mixture over the top of each pastry.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm and enjoy as a festive snack or appetizer.

Notes

These pastries can be made ahead of time and can be frozen before baking. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) until warmed through.
