Ingredients

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds
  • 1/4 cup chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine flour, butter, and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix until crumbly, then add the egg and knead into a dough.
  3. Press the dough into a tart pan and pierce the base with a fork. Bake for 15 minutes.
  4. In another bowl, mix ricotta, sugar, salt, vanilla, and orange zest until smooth. Pour the mixture into the tart shell.
  5. Top with sliced almonds and bake for an additional 25 minutes.
  6. Once cooled, drizzle with melted chocolate before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, lightly toast almond slices before adding them to the tart. Ensure the ricotta is well-drained for the best texture.
