- 1/2 cup jalapenos (fresh or pickled, seeded for mild heat or left with seeds for more kick)
- 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese (for topping)
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 tsp pepper (freshly ground)
- Optional: Sweet dip for serving (honey mustard or fruit jam)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and ensure the rack is in the middle of the oven.
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- Cut the pastry into even strips using a sharp knife or pizza cutter.
- In a bowl, mix the creamy cheese, chopped jalapenos, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Spread the cheese mixture onto the pastry strips, leaving a small border.
- Twist each strip and place them on a lined baking sheet.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with a sweet dip if desired.
