Description

Soft and buttery cookies dusted with powdered sugar, combining the flavors of mint and chocolate for a comforting treat.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup (2 sticks or 226g) Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (100g) Granulated Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Peppermint Extract
  • 2 1/4 cups (270g) All-Purpose Flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup (170g) Mini Chocolate Chips
  • 1 1/2 cups (180g) Powdered Sugar, divided
  • Optional: Green Food Coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and salt.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter until light and creamy; gradually add sugar and beat until fluffy.
  4. Mix in vanilla and peppermint extracts, and optional food coloring.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in mini chocolate chips.
  7. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
  8. Scoop dough and roll into balls; place on prepared sheets.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  10. Cool for 5-10 minutes on sheets, then dust with powdered sugar.
  11. Once cooled, roll them again in powdered sugar for a second coating.
  12. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature or freeze for longer storage. They stay tender for 3 to 4 days.
