- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla (optional)
- Pinch of cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until it reaches a soft ball stage (around 235°F or 113°C).
- Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans quickly and evenly.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto wax paper and let cool until set.
Notes
Use fresh ingredients for best results. Store in an airtight container separated by wax paper. Can be frozen, thaw at room temperature before serving.
