- 1 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1 cup peppermint bark or crushed candy canes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt the chocolate and butter together.
- Whisk sugar and eggs until frothy.
- Combine melted chocolate mixture with sugar and eggs.
- Add sifted flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Stir in peppermint extract.
- Grease a baking dish and pour half the batter, spreading evenly.
- Sprinkle half the peppermint bark over the batter, then pour the remaining batter on top.
- Top with remaining peppermint bark.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out slightly moist.
- Cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
