- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 16 oz. cream cheese, softened

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in flour until just combined.
- Press dough into a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
- Let cool for 10 minutes.
- In a clean bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add sour cream, eggs, and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
- Pour cheesecake filling over cooled crust and spread evenly.
- Reduce oven to 325°F (160°C) and bake for 45-50 minutes until slightly jiggly.
- Turn off oven, crack the door, and cool cheesecake inside for 1 hour.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
Use room temperature ingredients for smoother filling and consider using a water bath for even baking.
