Turkey and Glaze Ingredients

  • 1 piece turkey breast
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cranberries and orange slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preparation and Cooking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a saucepan, mix together the cranberry juice, orange juice, brown sugar, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Simmer the glaze over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  • Place the turkey breast in a roasting pan and brush it with the cranberry orange glaze generously.
  • Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes with the glaze, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  • After cooking, let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing.
  • Serve the turkey garnished with fresh cranberries and orange slices for an attractive presentation.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the turkey breast in the glaze for a few hours or overnight before cooking. You can also use orange marmalade as a substitute for brown sugar in the glaze. If you prefer a spicier kick, add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes to the glaze mixture.
