  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal Foundation of the treat.
  • 10 oz mini marshmallows Ensures even distribution.

Preparation

  • Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the brown sugar and molasses, cooking until combined and bubbling slightly.
  • Add the ground cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves to the mixture, stirring for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Incorporate the mini marshmallows, stirring continuously until fully melted and combined.
  • Remove from heat and fold in the Rice Krispies until evenly coated.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and press down firmly to create an even layer.
  • Let the mixture sit at room temperature for at least 30 minutes to set or refrigerate for 15-20 minutes.
  • Once set, cut into squares or rectangles and serve.

Notes

Use fresh spices for better flavor. Store in an airtight container at room temperature. Avoid refrigeration to maintain texture. Can be customized with chocolate chips, nuts, or drizzles of frosting.
