  • 1 cup nut butter (peanut or almond) Enhances flavor and provides healthy fats.

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.

  • 1 cup chocolate chips Use dark chocolate for added antioxidants.

  • 1/2 cup dried fruits or nuts Optional for texture and nutrition.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Gather all the necessary ingredients.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, nut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and salt.
  • Start mixing with a spoon, and then use your hands to ensure an even mix.
  • Fold in chocolate chips and M&Ms along with any optional add-ins.
  • Scoop out one tablespoon of the mixture and roll it into a ball. Repeat until all mixture is used.
  • Place the rolled balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.

Notes

For a firmer texture, chill the balls longer. Don’t overmix to avoid a dry texture. Experiment with spices for additional flavor.
